Improved Efficiency of PV Module Using Incremental Conductance MPPT and DC–DC Boost Converter - Vol.4(2), Jul-Dec - New Delhi Journals Pub 2018 - 1-8p.
Solar energy has been most popular renewable energy source because of its long-term outcomes. The study presents the simulation and the hardware implementation of Photovoltaic module utilizing incremental conductance MPPT with the help of DC–DC boost converter. The better trade-off between the PV module power and power achieved after using converter and MPPT technique has been shown and improved efficiency also has been achieved. The incremental conductance MPPT has been used because it performs efficiently even in rapidly atmospheric changes. The incremental conductance MPPT is better because of its simplicity and lower computational steps requirements. The used converter is a DC–DC boost converter in the model which comprises of no less than two semiconductors a transistor and a diode and it likewise contains no less than one storage component. The simulation has been done by the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
