Resource and population relationship is most crucial aspect of the socio-economic facets. In the current scenario world population is the highest; countries like India have various challenges towards the justification of the basic needs of their citizens, while national population reaching the highest in the world. Cooperatives are the only and best solution for the better resource and community management. The success of the cooperatives highly depends on it governance. In India, cooperative movements have a phenomenon of east-west divide; in the western part of the country cooperatives are much successful and vibrant in comparison to eastern part of the country where it failed hugely. This article is an attempt to explain the governance of the cooperative in India and its various dimensions.
