| Summary, etc. | Pharmaceutical Technology series has been brought as two volumes for the convenience of students considering the division of subject under AICTE Syllabus for B.Pharm. courses. The scope of the subject covered in each chapter has been expanded beyond the B.Pharm. syllabus so as to cater the knowledge for PG students in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance as well. The subject has been dealt with emphasis on practical understanding in formulation and the manufacture like raw material availability in the market, their commercial names and examples of marketed products in addition to theoretical understanding of the subject. Each chapter has been developed systematically starting with introduction, classification, formulation with typical examples, preparation, manufacturing, and quality control techniques. Large number of tables, figures and flow diagrams are given for easy understanding of the subject. Regulatory requirements in manufacturing and compendium needs are included wherever necessary. Pharmaceutical Technology Vol.I comprises of eight chapters viz: Liquid Dosage Forms, Semisolid Dosage Forms, Suppositories, Extraction and Galenical Products, Blood Products and Plasma Substitutes, Pharmaceutical Aerosols, Ophthalmic Preparations, and Cosmeticology and Cosmetic Preparations. The language has been kept simple for better understanding of students. Summary of each paragraph/page has been given as side-notes for quick reading also.
