paper highlights various elements of quantitative and qualitative aspects of reliability of electrical power systems. In today’s world, the availability of power is of prime importance to the electrical power industry. It hence becomes important to study the measure of ability of the power system to supply the aggregate electrical power and meet the energy requirements of the customers for certain duration of time.
