The gel formulation was based on combination of poloxmer 407 (10%), gellan gum (1.32%) and tinidazole (1%): gelation was induuced. 97.16% drug was released after day I, which followed anomalous non-officiant behavior. The invitro antibacterial studies exceeded minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli of gel than the drug solution. the invivo clinical evaluation to tinidazole gel showed significant improvement in
patients by decrease in periodontal pocket depth (PPD), bleeding index (BI), plaque index (PI) and gingival index (GI).
