November 2021 marks the century of phenomenal discovery. Insulin treatment is promising but not accessible to many in desperate need. The article highlights intricacies of insulin discovery, evolution of therapy and future leads. Centenary of the discovery presents a unique opportunity to pay tributes to largehearted Noble laureate scientists and bring about a meaningful change in lives of millions of people living with diabetes and the millions more at risk. |
