Summary, etc. Hydraulic conductivity is one of the important properties of soil that is related to flow and transport phenomena below ground level. The present study was carried out to compare different saturated hydraulic conductivity (KS) measuring techniques for different landuses. For this, the KS was determined using Guelph permeameter (GT), inverse auger hole test (IT), pedotransfer function (PTF: ROSETTA model), and laboratory soil core test (LT) for five landuses, namely paddy field (PAF), mango field (MAF), cashew field (CAF), residential area (REA), and playground (PLG) at 15 cm, 30 cm, 45 cm, and 60 cm soil depth. Overall, the KS data were found to be followed the log-normal distribution than the normal distribution. Among all landuses, the mean KS was found to be highest for IT followed by LT, GT, and PTF methods. While LT showed statistical significance with GT and IT, no other methods displayed any statistical significance with each other. All methods gave higher KS values for CAF at top soil surface, because of macro-pores, and lower values were obtained for PAF, because of the puddled soil. It was observed that the KS value was highly affected by soil textural properties, bulk density, and land management practices. Overall performance of the different methods suggested that the GT method was best suited to determine the KS value.
