Summary, etc. concept of converting seawater into fresh drinking water should also be applied, which is feasible with the aid of the “Solar Still.” It is eco-friendly and cost-effective, but is not common due to its lower performance. Enormous research work is being conducted to increase the quality of the “Solar Still.” Various methods and their productivity are explored here, which are followed by researchers around the world. The most commonly employed methods used by researchers is focused on Phase Change Material and Energy Storage Material, which would generate distillate during the day. The specification of Phase Shift Materials and Energy Storage Materials is based on thermal conductivity. The cooling of the exterior surface of the glass cover provides a strong temperature differential between the glass cover and the water, which improves the rate of evaporation and condensation and decreases the environmental impact by creating a thin layer above the surface.
