The stereotyped instruction system is the traditional method of imparting instructions. This method imparts the information without knowing the existing level of understating of the learner. This leads to a series of misconceptions. A concept inventory identifies the misconceptions with respect to important concepts. This paper aims at assessing the students' prior knowledge and identifying misconceptions. It uses concept inventory as a tool to overcome misconceptions. The change in conceptual development is measured.
