How much brake power and brake thermal efficiency can imporved by use of alcohols like methanol (M), ethanol (E), n-butanol (nB), iso-butanol (iB) and other alternatives acetone (AC) etc. How to optimize the vehicle mileage range with use of alcohols-gasoline blends as compared to pure gasoline. Objective of this review is to present the future prospects of different alternative fuels and their combinations with each other in the existing SI engines without modifications
