It is designed on FR-4 Epoxy substrate material with the coverage of four bands (GSM-900, GSM-1800 Wi-Fi sources 2400, and 3300MHz frequency band allocated for WiMAX applications) of cellular communication. The proposed L-shaped slots antenna consists of four symmetric/asymmetric stubs and four symmetric L-shaped slots. L-shaped slots are integrated inside a square patch of the proposed antenna which helps to increase the resonating bands of the antenna. The proposed antenna has compact footprint of size (48 mm × 48 mm) and it is low in cost, and the proposed geometry offer an effective matching of the patch radiator with the feed that is evident from the results which show that the reflection coefficient is -15db or less in the plots for all the operating frequency band. This study contains the simulated as well as measured result for the proposed geometry and a discussion on how the L-shaped slots structure in antenna can be utilized in the field of RF energy harvesting along with the comparison of the past works done in same topic. The software used for designing the proposed antenna is CST Microwave Studio and the antenna is fabricated, and experimentally tested.
