ITPI journalSummary: This paper provides a brief discussion on the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor focused on creating the state of the art freight related infrastructure with the help of foreign direct investment among other sources of funding. Five nodes falling in the state of Rajasthan are discussed along with their strengths. It is found that in spite of the fact that relevant legislation has been enacted by the state government and also some of the development plans have been prepared, implementation of development plans is yet to start due to lack of political support, making the state lag behind other states which are part of the DMIC.
