As I entered 24, Jor Bagh, the exhibition space of the Guural foundation in New Delhi that hosted astha butail's in the absence of writing form the 2nd to the 28th of February, a small of earth mixed with cowdung hit me. I ws taken aback for a moment and tried to find its source. The walls and the railings of the staircase were covered with this mixture, which is a common binding material used in the construction of houses in rural India. It is also used in the domain of the sacred, especially in spaces where Hindu rituals are conducted. This mixture is supposed to consecrate the space and charge it with divine energy.....
