The walls and the railings of the staircase were covered with this mixture, which is a common binding material used in the construction of houses in rural India. It is also used in the domain of the sacred, especially in spaces where Hindu rituals are conducted. This mixture is supposed to consecrate the space and charge it with divine energy.....
