Since viscoelastic soil functions contain the same information of relaxation and creep properties, different methods of inter-conversion between creep compliance and relaxation modulus are discussed considering linear viscoelasticity. Relaxation test is performed on black cotton soil collected from Angul district of Odisha. The relaxation test data are used as an illustration for all the methods, and the creep behaviour of the soil is computed and compared. The range of viscosity in the specimen is captured and discussed.
