Implication of trade liberalization on the environment is a matter of debate.Trade contributes to economic growth benefits all participating countries on the other hand environmentalists argue that free will increase industrial pollution in developing countries, through displacement of dirty industries from developed countries with stricter environmental regulation, and through competitive pressure on developing countries to reduce further environmental standards.
