Publisher: New York Springer 2022Edition: Vol.103(1), Feb.Description: 225-235p.Subject(s): Humanities and Applied SciencesOnline resources: Click here In: Journal of the institution of engineers (India): Series BSummary: Anti-islanding protection plays a major role in grid-connected inverters which are based either on solar PV or other renewable energy resources when they are connected to the utility. In this study, six grid-connected string inverters were characterized based on the Indian standard IS 16169:2019. This paper presents the real-time simulation results of grid loss protection in both single- and three-phase solar grid-connected inverters when connected to the utility. The study shows that the three-phase string inverters have lesser disconnection times in comparison with the single phase. With the increase in power capacity of string inverters, it is observed that irrespective of single or three phases, the disconnection time decreases.
