Four different inlet and outlet structures were considered using computational fluid dynamic simulations at three engine operating modes formed by two speeds of 1440 and 1920rpm and two brake torques of 23 and 31Nm. The results show that the two inlets and outlets structure produced the highest thermal uniformity, improving the uniformity by 72.8% compared to the original. Besides that, this structure also increases the transferred heat of TGS by 1% compared to the original. The inlet structure has a significant impact on thermal uniformity, whereas the effect of the outlet structure is insignificant. The proposed inlet and outlet structures enhance both the thermal uniformity and transferred heat of TGS and contribute to improving the power and lifespan of the system.Item type | Current location | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds |
