Publisher: Prayagraj Pushpa Publishing House 2023Edition: Vol.33, Jun.Description: 83-95p.Subject(s): Mechanical EngineeringOnline resources: Click here In: JP journal of heat and mass transferSummary: This research examined the relationship between cellulose acetate-poor and cellulose acetate-rich phases by measuring phase diagrams at different temperatures (10, 30, 50°C). In addition, FTIR and TGA were used to confirm the formation of cellulose acetate and to measure the mass change of this polymer. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of films containing solvent/water/cellulose acetate and gelatin revealed a link between the structural morphology of cellulose acetate particles and the system temperature; the results show that an increase in temperature has an effect on the phase separation and surface morphology in the ternary system. Therefore, this paper is a contribution in the development of low-cost polymer materials with potential applications as flexible system in different fields such as building, security, environment, sport, and medical.
