<br/><br/> The II year students of Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design<br/>(CAAD), as part of their curriculum under the subject of Building<br/>Material and Construction organised a self-learning hands-on steel<br/>fabrication workshop to study the properties and joinery of steel.<br/>Under the guidance and support of their mentors, they we planned<br/>and executed their designs on paper, transforming them into<br/>creations which culminated in a celebratory exhibition. Different<br/>themed chairs evolved from a different set of ideas: the structure,<br/>anthropometry and comfort of the user were given the first level of<br/>importance. The timeline of the two weeks of planning and execution<br/>has been portrayed in this article as a storyline.
