New Technology of Phytoplankton’s Concentration from Lake “Green Water” for Production of the High-quality Biofuel Having Positive Impact on the Environment - Vol.9(2), May-Aug - New Delhi STM Journals 2019 - 27-34p.

The “green water” formation in the stagnant zones of fresh lakes occurs due to the generation and enhanced reproduction of phytoplankton under the sun influence. Due to non-influx of fresh water, phytoplankton dies, releasing hydrogen sulfide, and water becomes unusable and threatens the ecological situation of the lake. In this regard, the development of the concentration of phytoplankton from “green water” purification is an urgent task associated with positive impact on the environment. On the other hand, using the high phytoplankton concentrate, the high-quality biogas or biofuel are produced. Moreover, the process of obtaining biogas or biofuel is accompanied by reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, which also has a positive effect on the environment. Among the methods for phytoplankton concentration, the electroflotation method is real. However, existing electroflotation methods have the following disadvantages: the salinity formation in the space near cathode during the process of electrolysis; the use by anode of the dense grid from the wire of the defined thickness that sharply reduces the transmittance of electrolysis bubbles; improperly use of generated during the process of electrolysis gas bubbles. The paper presents the use negatively charged with calculated dispersiveness of hydrogen bubbles and special electroflotator construction for phytoplankton’s concentration from “green water” with the subsequent production of the high-quality biofuel having positive impact on the environment.
