The integration of entry/exit structures, design elements are used to harvest daylight and natural ventilation effectively, thereby making the metro stations and the depot energy efficient with lower carbon footprint. Rainwater harvesting is maximised and energy efficient technologies and novel systems like regenerative braking system in lifts and elevators have been used. The metro stations and depot are IGBC Platinum rated to provide green transportation.

The metro stations and structures are designed to ensure seamless integration with multimodal transportation, and smart city infrastructure to ensure last mile connectivity and provide a world-class public transportation facility to the masses.

There are adequate provisions of ramps and passage as per international standards and elimination of unnecessary level differences to ensure unhindered movement. To give impetus to traditional handloom, handicrafts, tourism and MSME sectors, artworks are installed depicting the finesse of artisans and rich heritage of this city.
