PLC based smart car parking system - Vol. 8(3), Sep-December - New Delhi STM Journals 2018 - 66-71p.

In modern industrialization and urbanization, there are rapid developments in automotive sector. Metropolitan and even small cities in India are heavily dense. People are experiencing huge traffic problem and insecurity regarding their vehicle. The land is becoming less but the population of human is growing day-by-day. This scenario is obvious in modern developed cities. Therefore is very limited and space need to be saved in every aspect of life. By building and automated parking system, which allows high space utilization, less space is needed compare to the conventional car park. In this study, demonstrates a prototype development of smart car parking using PLC (programmable logic controller) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). PLC is one of the mostly used controller as it is easy to operate and controls task. Objectives of this system are to reduce the human effort and time for parking, save fuel. Due to these advantages, this system can be used in hotels, railway station, airport where crowding of cars is much.
