Questionnaires and structured interviews were conducted. Spectral methods were introduced for analysis of the data collected from the survey. It was found that the "gas boosted solar hot water system", "parking area for cycles", "degree of noise in operation", "quality of interior air" and "emission of greenhouse gas" are the top five sustinability criteria for improving sustainability performance of the local residential environments.
