520 _aReading is a big concern for the blind and people with partial sightedness. Very few books are available which are easily accessible by the blind. Moreover, a regular book for sighted people will span to multiple volumes when converted to a braille book. This difficulty can be overcome by using an assistive technology that can provide visually impaired people cost-effective Braille Reader System that can convert text to braille characters. The motivation for designing this braille device comes from the need to improve a variety of parameters like cost, size factor, power consumption and ease of use while increasing product lifetime.
