520 _aBuilding follows the hilly terrain. The architect endeavours to promote an environmental development based on high performance and is committed to making a cleaner and greener environment. The design which is based on green design principles has floor plates which are narrow in plan for maximum daylight and ventilation. The master plan follows a linear layout which follows the existing contours to minimize cutting and to retain the existing ground conditions. Glazed walls dominate the north and south facade with balconies on the east and west façade. The roof has vegetation wherever possible so as to reduce the impact on the surroundings. The architects have planned the complete master plan incorporating the sustainable design practices and principal. These are made possible by adopting various innovative and scientific methods in the areas of solid waste management, rainwater harvesting, energy conservation and waste water recycling to name a few. Rainwater harvesting, conservation and recycling of water, state-of-the-art waste disposal systems, energy saving devices and use of solar energy wherever possible are a few innovative methods which make the development a very eco-friendly campus.
