Air pollution is one of the critical forms of environmental degradations and the capital city Bhubaneswar suffered from the problems of air pollution due to vehicular pollution, industrial pollution and encroachment of open/green spaces, for different land uses, to accommodate the growing population. The Total Air Pollution in Bhubaneswar City from the Domestic Sources, Industrial Sources, and Vehicular Sector. Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Oxide of Nitrogen (NOx) from vehicular sources is an important parameter as carbon content of these emissions can have harmful effect. The article describes the choice of suitable plant species for the smart city, Bhubaneswar to overcome problems of pollution and climate change effect. Suitable plant species for highly critical areas, moderately critical areas and critical areas, road side avenues and green belt have been recommended to reduce pollution load in the city | ||
