520 | _aThe purpose of this research is to find out how effectively a flat plate collectors (FPC) solar hot water system connected in series performs in Jordan’s environment. Transient System Simulation software (TRNSYS) is used to simulate the thermal performance of a system for solar hot water. Three collectors with flat plates, a storage tank for hot water, a control unit, and a circulation pump are included in the model to transport the heat to its applications. The area of the collector (2.04m2), the inlet flow rate (100kg/hr), and the inlet temperature (15°C) were all taken into account. The slope of collectors was calculated based on the latitude of the chosen zone in Jordan (Irbid) 45°. The results of the simulations show that the flat plate collectors are 55% and 69% efficient in the winter and summer seasons, respectively. | ||
