520 | _aRurbanization, which combines the advantages of urbanization with the advantages of rural living, has grown in favor in recent years as a strategy for supporting sustainable rural development. The facilities, services, and infrastructure needed for a high standard of living in rural regions are known as rurban amenities. Nevertheless, these amenities are sometimes insufficient because of lack of economies of scale and lower population density. This study's goal is to assess how rural-urban integration affects the availability of urban amenities in village clusters. The study is based on a survey of certain village clusters in India, where the concept of Rurbanization is being applied nationally. The results show that rural-urban integration significantly improves the accessibility of rurban facilities in village clusters. The improvement of the roads, telecommunications, and electricity infrastructure has boosted mobility, connectivity, and market access. The need for rural communities to go to cities for these necessities has decreased due to the improved accessibility of services like banking, healthcare, and education. Also, fewer rural residents are moving to metropolitan areas as a result of the expansion of available livelihood alternatives, notably in the form of microenterprises and small-scale industries. However, the study does show that the impact of Rurbanization on various rurban amenities is not consistent across different village clusters. The degree of development, population density, and economic capacity of a village cluster all have a significant impact on the effects of Rurbanization. Planners must adapt their plans to the unique needs of each village cluster if they are to fully realize the benefits of Rurbanization. | ||
