520 _aBhai Ram Singh was one of the foremost native architects and designers of Punjab, who had humble beginnings as a traditional wood craftsman. He was a true representative of traditional Punjab craftsmanship and architecture in the late 19th and early 20th century British rule in India. This paper presents a study of the works of Bhai Ram Singh, who employed his traditional knowledge of craftsmanship to design a broad spectrum of furniture, interiors and buildings. This paper argues that the reflection of craftsmanship in design is evident in the architectural works of Bhai Ram Singh. The rich legacy and diverse spectrum of Bhai Ram Sing's works has not been documented till date but is worthy of preservation for posterity.
