520 _aArchitecture and Media share an intertwined fate. One is not oblivious of the other. Together they have been changing the face of civilization since time immemorial. Architecture provides media the grist and wonderment; while media decodes and delivers Architecture of the world on our breakfast table. The whole world is now a mere click away. The relationship between Architecture and Media however, is not flippant. The power of media to influence history can be traced to Hitler's radio that assisted in seizing Europe and the extermination of Jews during the Holocaust in the infamous concentration camps and gas chambers. The impact of media on future developments can be gauged by the opposite stands that Al Gore and Donald Trump have taken on Climate Change and Environment. Where on one hand media is influencing what gets built, what is awarded, and what is viewed as futuristic; on the other, buildings are lending a helping hand to media projections by offering themselves as props for billboards and advertising- One Times Square being the highest generating public advertising space in the world.
