In this special feature, Akshay shares his journey, his inspirations from his formative years and later life and his work philosophy.
As a person, I feel my work reflects the subtle impact of partaking in nature while growing up in different geographies and ecologies in India and abroad. Three separate places have had the most influence on me. My schooling in Chhattisgarh; an undergraduate in Manipal, Karnataka; and graduate studies and work in Upstate New York and the Bay Area, California.
