Network-of-Things (NoT) in Avionic Systems - Vol,103(5), Oct - Pune Springer 2022 - 1217–1222p

avionic system architecture quite parallel to that of IoT and suitable for application in launch vehicles, satellites and aircrafts is the topic of discussion in this paper. This architecture features smart, wireless sensors and actuators with embedded sensing, signal-conditioning and data-processing capabilities, wireless connectivity and self-powering techniques. These enable truly autonomous plug-and-play operation of these vital front-end and back-end subsystems with built-in intelligence and seamless reconfiguration capabilities. The evolution to an architecture that can be termed Network-of-Things is explained here along with the many benefits that it offers, such as modularity, harness simplification and on-the-fly system reconfiguration that are vital to aerospace applications.
