COA approach based implementation of hybrid transmission lines with different constraints - Vol.105(6), Dec - Mumbai Springer 2024 - 1773-1788p.

This paper proposes an optimization approach for implementing hybrid transmission lines under various constraint conditions, proposing the utilization of the Cheetah Optimization Search Algorithm (COA). The primary objective of the COA technique is to enhance efficiency and reduce overall costs in transmission line implementations. The COA method is used to decrease the cost of the proposed technique. The novelty of this paper lies in proposing the Cheetah Optimization Search Algorithm (COA) for optimizing the implementation of hybrid transmission lines while considering diverse constraint conditions, showcasing its superior cost-effectiveness and efficiency compared to established optimization methods. The proposed technique addresses the corona effect and voltage-sensing sensitivity of hybrid transmission lines. Comparative analysis reveals that the proposed COA technique outperforms existing approaches such as heap-based optimization (HBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and wild-horse optimization (WHO). The implementation of the proposed COA technique is conducted using MATLAB platform and is evaluated against existing strategies. The results demonstrate a reduced cost of $0.24 and a higher efficiency of 0.9%. The outcomes underscore the superior cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed technique compared to existing strategies.
