The paper seeks to establish a relationship between the Vedic wisdom on mindfulness and the application of mindfulness techniques in presentday education system. It considers the Vedic and Upanishadic texts to extract key philosophies of mindfulness, such as the presence of mind, self-reflection, and interconnection. Through an analysis of the historical content from the perspective of philosophical foundations, the paper establishes a connection between these timeless teachings and presentday educational practices. Also, the study examines the impact of mindfulness on student wellbeing, cognitive abilities, and academic performance, highlighting the possible benefits of integrating knowledge of ancient times into present-day educational framework. Based on a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and empirical evidence, the study provides insights into the practical implementation of mindfulness techniques, thereby contributing to the ongoing discourse on holistic and mindful approaches to modern education.
