| Summary, etc. | Water is an essential natural resource to sustain the life on Earth. The sustainability of water resources depends on its rational use by the human beings. Jaipur district has witnessed an exponential rise of population in the last decade with an annual growth rate of 5%. The rising population has put the immense pressure on the available water resources in the district. The water level in all the blocks of Jaipur have been affected by the growing population and urbanization.<br/><br/>Water draft in the sector of agriculture and industries has increased over the years. In the past one decade, the ground water level in the district has depleted. All the 13 blocks are declared as dark zones by Central Ground Water Authority. The low and variable rainfall has further worsened the scenario of water resources.<br/><br/>With the growing development, quantity of water resources is being compromised. The paper briefly discusses the pattern of rainfall in the district from the year 2004 to 2017. Along with this, an analysis of pattern of water usage in the district from 2004 to 2017 has been made. The data of past 15 years is taken and analyzed for assessing the quantity of water resources in the Jaipur district.
