Summary, etc. Anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) is generally used at primary level in decentralized wastewater treatment system in ABR, organic strength of wastewater is reduced due to sludge blanket developed in series of compartments. Kinetic modeling of ABR is required to predict effluent COD and literature reported kinetic models use laboratory/pilot scale experimental data to assess their suitability. In the present study, kinetic modeling with first-order (plug flow and complete mix) and monod kinetics are applied for simulating and parameter estimation of real-life ABR system for COD removal.FPFR, FCMR and six CSTRs in series models are applicable for the low strength .
