| Summary, etc. | Women’s empowerment is an important aspect of achieving sustainable development. Cooperatives served as powerful platforms for empowering women. By connecting with cooperatives, women gain access to incomegenerating sources, financial services, and markets that were previously difficult to access. Therefore, it is imperative to understand the role of cooperatives for the women empowerment. This study aims to review the scholarly work of different authors to examine the role of cooperatives in women empowerment. The research methodology adopted for the study is systematic review of literature. VOS viewer software is employed to identify most cited literatures. Findings suggest cooperatives work as a medium for social empowerment, growing social networks, and empower women. |
