Summary, etc. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) creates a responsibility on producers to manage the waste they generate, which can aid in achieving the ESG goals in a seamless manner. This article looks at the characteristics and outcomes of EPR and tries to link them to the nine principles of SEBIs Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report framework in India. It finds that Principles 2 and 6 of BRSR have a strong link with the EPR outcomes while Principles 1,3,5 and 8 are moderately linked. Thus, EPR guidelines can help to improve ESG reporting, address stakeholder concerns and lead to business transformation.
