Summary, etc. Geological stratification is of utmost importance to Geotechnical engineers. This provides information about the vertical profile and the horizontal extent of various strata. This information serves as input for stability analyses of the foundations, resulting in optimum design. The current study carries out the modelling of the geological sub-strata features by deriving the borehole test results being conducted on 58 boreholes from a metro project undertaken by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. For stratification modelling, the boreholes have first been located on the map using digital elevation model extracted from Earth Data NASA and then projecting it on the QGIS software. The study area has been delineated by the creation of vector shapefiles. A detailed terrain profile analysis is carried out to portray the undulations along the metro region. After a detailed terrain plot, the soil profile in the 58 boreholes under study is modelled by employing GEO5 and Rocscience software, respectively. The soil profiles as developed in these boreholes are linearly interpolated to create a geological stratification model of the entire area.
