Summary, etc. It is a fact that despite having largest population of the world, India is suffering with absolute shortage of skilled manpower. Corporate world and service sector have been continuously trying hard to find out and recruit skilled people. Government of India is also emphasising on skill development so that not only the requirement of corporate India can be fulfilled but employability among youth can also be improved. Skill development of such a huge population is a continuous and tedious job which needs sustained efforts, patience and above all money for providing training. And, Indian companies can play an important role in this process of skill development and can utilise its CSR fund, which is a major bottleneck, for the purpose.
