The course content has been completely revised and updated in such a manner so as to be in consonance with syllabus prepared by the UGC Curriculum Development Committee for Chemistry.

The course material of BSc III year is reflected in eleven chapters of the present volume. A few salient features of this volume are: Reorientation of the first chapter including the theory and applications of NMR Spectroscopy. The remaining ten chapters are concerned with rather unrelated topics ranging from polymers to biopolymers and from heterocyclic compounds to synthetic dyes along with organic photochemistry. A brief review of the important points is presented after each chapter.
