Modified E and W Shape Antenna Designs to Boost Wireless Signals

By: Contributor(s): Publication details: New Delhi Journals Pub 2018Edition: Vol.4(1), Jan-JunDescription: 42-47pSubject(s): Online resources: In: International journal of microwave engineering and technologySummary: Research article presents E-shaped antenna in wireless communication. GA Algorithmic procedure has been implemented with enhancement. The Enhanced GA procedure increases bandwidth. Method of Movement (MOM) has been employed on 1.8–2.6 GHz for carrying out optimization. Fuzzy approach has been taken up in recombination of next generation antenna development. GA procedure assist in enhancing design of E shape antenna. A miniature model antenna for frequencies ranging from 1.8 to 2.37 GHz have been constructed. Dimensions of the modified slots for bandwidth enhancement, while maintaining good radiation characteristics, have been determined and the obtained antenna bandwidth of 36.7% is larger than that of a corresponding unspotted rectangular micro strip antenna or a conventional E-Shaped patch antenna. Details of the antenna design approach and experimental results are presented and discussed.
