IJMR says that youth is a critical phase of life where they face many physical, psychological and behavioral changes because of social interactions and relationships. According to the statistics, the youth of India face mental health problems on a large scale, the main because of family and academic issues. The existing spaces used to treat people with mental illness have different blocks in a premise. Therefore, the aim is to apply spatial understanding in medicating the mental health problems faced by the youth due to academic issues and to studying and analyzing the relationship between the same. The dissertation studies and analyzes the impact of spatial understanding on the mental health of a person. The study also investigates the existing facilities given to mentally disturbed people. It examines the attention given to the mental health problems faced by the young people of India. The dissertation helps in understanding the perception of a psychiatric patient about space through its sensational qualities. The findings of the study may lead to space that shows a co-relationship between architecture and its impact on medicating mentally disturbed people.
