Some of the most vibrant towns and cities of India are located along her coast—be it large cities like Mumbai and Chennai or small towns like Porbandar, Panaji and Pondicherry—they all have their unique coastlines. One-fifth of India’s pop- ulation lives along the coast and it is envisaged that this will at least double by 2060.
