Solid phase extraction of copper, cadmium and lead in environmental samples FASS using activated carbon modified with 5-(4-dimethylaminobenzyledeneamino)-2 …
Publication details: Gurgaon International Science Press 2024Edition: Vol.15(1), Jan-JunDescription: 1-9pSubject(s): Online resources: In: Indian journal of pharmaceuticsSummary: Sensitive and selective preconcentration procedure was developed for the determination of trace Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions in environmental samples. 5(4-dimethyl aminobenzyledeneamino) 2-hydroxy benzoic acid modified with activated carbon was prepared and used as new solid phase extractor. Adsorbed metal ions were eluted with 10 ml of 3N HNO3 at a flow rate of 2 ml/min. The concentration of metal ion determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). Different factors including pH of the sample solutions, effect of sample volume, the amount of modified activated carbon, type and volume of eluent were examined. The proposed method was applied to the determination of metal ions in water samples and soil samples with satisfactory results (recoveries range from 96 to 99%).| Item type | Current library | Status | Barcode | |
