Internet of things in cloud computing: benefits, challenges and future trends

By: Contributor(s): Publication details: Ghaziabad MAT Journals 2024Edition: Vol.3(3), Sep-DecDescription: 31-37pSubject(s): Online resources: In: Journal of innovations in data science and big data managementSummary: The Internet of Things, used with cloud computing, is a prime instance of cutting edge technology. Global industry transformation is occurring through cloud based IoT solutions. IoT in the cloud is transforming how we live and work, from intelligent manufacturing systems that can monitor and increase production efficiency to smart homes that can be managed remotely using a smartphone. IoT application developers can get the necessary tools and services through cloud computing. It also facilitates the development of trustworthy and precise Internet of Things applications. The challenge of storing, analyzing, and retrieving vast volumes of data has emerged due to technology's explosive growth. Utilizing cloud and Internet of Things technology together is a significant breakthrough, and when combined, new monitoring services and robust manipulation of sensory information streams will be enabled. For instance, data from sensors can be uploaded to the cloud and stored there for future use in intelligent monitoring and device activation. Through the Internet, hosted services are provided by cloud computing. However, the Internet of Things (IoT) links nearby smart devices to the network to share and analyze data. This post will discuss IoT in cloud computing, including its advantages, disadvantages, and potential future developments.
