This area receives large quantity of pollution due to major industries and other anthropogenic which are located nearby. This pollution is discharged into sea either directly or indirectly through major rivers of the area nethravathi and gurupure. The pollutants includes wasted from oil refineries, chemicals from pharmaceutical industry, pesticides, individual house hold wast and also municipal sewage or sewage waste ER -
