Taxonomy of fintech ecosystem – a research study

<br/><br/> Fintech ecosystem is developing at a fast pace with inclusion of all<br/>kinds of services within its ambit. In order to understand the fintech<br/>ecosystem, one has to understand the taxonomy of fintech ecosystem.<br/>This paper discusses the two most comprehensive taxonomies on<br/>fintech ecosystem developed by Imerman and Fabozzi (2020) and<br/>Ratecka (2020), for its advantages and disadvantages. Based on that<br/>discussion, the researcher develops his own taxonomy of fintech<br/>ecosystem and explains the rationale and also the theoretical<br/>foundations for that taxonomy. This paper is divided into four sections:<br/>(a) overview of fintech innovations; (b) Taxonomy developed by<br/>Imerman and Fabozzi; (c) taxonomy developed by Ratecka (d)<br/>synthesis of these two taxonomies and based on that the taxonomy<br/>developed by the researcher. The last section concludes the paper.
