Antibacterial evaluation and QSAR studies of 1,2,3-triazole bridged with amide functionalities

By: Contributor(s): Publication details: New Delhi CSIR 2021Edition: Vol.58(B), JanDescription: 88-95pSubject(s): Online resources: In: Indian journal of chemistry (Section B)Summary: Twenty five 1,4-disustituted 1,2,3-triazoles bridged with amide functionalities have been synthesized and tested for growth inhibitory activity against one gram-positive bacteria – Staphylococcus aureus and three gram-negative bacteria – Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Antimicrobial activities of the synthesized triazoles have been used for QSAR studies to find correlation between different calculated molecular descriptor and biological activity of compounds by multiple linear regression procedure. The antibacterial evaluation data reveals that synthesized triazoles show moderate to good activity whereas compound 13 and 23 have come out with excellent activity.
