Numerical study of heat conduction governed by 2D laplace equations in two-layered materials

By: Contributor(s): Publication details: Prayagraj Pushpa Publishing House 2022Edition: Vol.28, AugDescription: 131-146pSubject(s): Online resources: In: JP journal of heat and mass transferSummary: In this work, we consider problems involving steady heat conduction in two-layered materials. The problems are governed by systems of 2D Laplace equations. The problems are solved numerically using a boundary element method (BEM). The method is tested using two heat conduction problems in two-layered materials with analytic solutions. Numerical solutions obtained by the BEM and the corresponding analytical solutions are compared. Furthermore, the method is implemented to solve problems with unknown analytical solutions. An analysis of the effect of material diversity on heat conduction is made.
